County Auditor
Rick Ainey of New Milford Borough announces his candidacy for Susquehanna County Auditor. Rick lives in New Milford Borough with his wife Peggy. He is father to Lisa (Brian) Carpenetti and Rich ( Danielle) Ainey. Grandfather to Kate, Brandon, Hailey, and Gabriella.
Rick believes his experience in Government, business, and the community will qualify him for this position. Currently serving as President of the New Milford Borough council after first being elected in 1983. This opportunity has given him the knowledge of the process of how the business of government is to work. His forty six years of business experience, including owning the New Milford Market, has given him the ability to oversee financial reports and readily determine their accuracy and if they are complete. His community involvement showcases his commitment to the community and its’ well being.
Rick currently is a member of the following boards and community groups- Susquehanna County Historical Society and Free Library Association, Susquehanna County Economic Advisory Board, Area Agency on Aging Advisory Board, Blue Ridge Recreation, Inc ( Summer Adventures) Treasurer and founding member, Harford Lodge F.&A.M. Past Master and Junior Warden, Chairman Susquehanna County Democratic party, New Milford Methodist Church, and New Milford Men’s Club Past President,
Rick has previously served in the following capacities- President Blue Ridge Little League, Chairman BSST Area agency on Aging, President Endless Mountains Business Association, Member Board Barnes-Kasson Hospital, Chairman Susquehanna County Council of Governments, and Co-Chair Tri-Boro Bi-Centennial Celebration.
